Si le massif des Cerces n’est plus à présenter pour ce qui est de la qualité de son calcaire et l’ambiance unique de ses falaises d’altitude, nous avons choisi de mettre un coup de projecteur sur un des sommets les plus emblématiques de ce massif : la Tour Termier et ses 300m de rocher fantastique ! Cette falaise a pour elle tous ce dont rêve le grimpeur : approche raisonnable dans un cadre magique, une escalade de qualité et de l’ampleur dans les itinéraires. De nombreuses possibilités existent pour se dresser au sommet de cette montagne, et les guides de La Grave sauront choisir pour vous la voie adaptée à votre niveau et votre forme du moment !
HOW DIFFICULT WILL THE TRIP BE?
Intermediate
You should be able to climb up to 6a (5.10a) as a follower. You know how to tie your knots and belay. You may have the opportunity to lead or not. We will be happy to teach you. If you don't know how to rappel, we will teach you.
Advanced
You should be able to climb up to 6c (5.11a) as a follower. You know how to tie your knots and belay. You should be confident on all types of routes (chimney, slab, overhangs, ridges, etc...) and rock types (limestone, conglomerate, granite, sandstone, etc...). You are able to lead up to 5c (5.9). You know how to rappel. You are comfortable removing trad climbing gear.
Expert
You should be able to climb harder than 7a (5.11d) as a follower. You know how to tie your knots and belay. You should be confident on all types of routes (chimney, slab, overhangs, ridges, etc...) and rock types (limestone, conglomerate, granite, sandstone, etc...). You are able to lead up to 6a (5.10a). You know how to rappel. You are comfortable removing trad climbing gear.
WHAT LEVEL OF PHYSICAL FITNESS DO I NEED?
Strenuous
Approach could be more than an hour on steep difficult terrain while carrying a backpack (5 to 10 kilos). Endurance and strength are needed to be able to climb more than 200 meters (650 feet) with some sections of overhanging rock.
