Objectif Grande Ruine

A great ski trip up the Ecrins!

The Grande Ruine massif and its summit, Pointe Brevoort, rise to 3,765 metres. Ideally situated in the heart of the Ecrins massif, this magnificent mountain is perfectly suited to ski mountaineering and all that it entails: a glacial atmosphere, high altitude, and a spectacular, pinnacle-like summit.
Far from being inaccessible, this ascent can be seen as a wonderful first experience. To this end, we suggest taking it slowly, step by step. To acclimatise at a leisurely pace and learn the various techniques we’ll need for the big day, we’ll make the most of the comfort of the Chamoissière refuge, which will serve as our base camp to prepare ourselves and plan some lovely acclimatisation routes.
Ideally situated at the foot of the iconic Agneaux and Neige Cordier mountains, and offering skiing in all directions, this refuge will be our springboard to the famous Adèle Planchard refuge, where we’ll spend one last magical night at the foot of our objective.
The final day will be the highlight of the trip: the ascent of Pointe Brevoort, with its exposed final ridge, and a memorable descent to the source of the Romanche and finally to the Pied du Col, which we left four days earlier.
An adventure on a human scale that will open the door to an infinite world !
