Plan de l’Alpe ski touring base camp – 3 days
The days are getting longer and the cold is becoming less bitter, providing an opportunity to set off on beautiful trails with ski touring on your feet. From the comfortable Chamoissière refuge where we will spend 2 nights, we will be immersed in a very high mountain atmosphere, with the possibility of choosing the slopes adapted to our level as well as our desires! The place lends itself just as much to discovering the activity as to looking for more technical routes, and the variety of orientations will allow us to find the objective best suited to the conditions of the day.
Day 1 – Meet at the La Grave guide office for a short drive to the start of the climb to the Chamoissière refuge, which we will reach by late morning. With lighter packs, we will then set off to enjoy the passes and peaks around the refuge, get to grips with the equipment and familiarise ourselves with the safety gear.
Day 2 and 3 – depending on conditions and the group’s wishes: Pic de Chamoissière, Col des Agneaux, Tête de Pradieu, Tête du Vallon, and why not the Col de la Grande Ruine if the level allows it.
Return to the car park on the third day in the middle of the afternoon.
This programme is indicative only, as we will need to adapt to the weather, mountain conditions and participants. Ultimately, the guide is the sole judge of the programme and may modify it for safety reasons.
