Solidarity Guides

This project, proposed by the Grave guides’ office, is based on the ‘suspended coffee’ model:
The suspended coffee, from the Italian ‘caffè sospeso’, is a tradition of solidarity that originated in the city of Naples. In Neapolitan bars, customers would drink one coffee and pay for two for another customer in need. This gesture of solidarity began in the mid-20th century, during the Second World War.
The Grave guides’ office proposes to apply this act of solidarity to offer guided tours to associations*. The principle is simple. Before or after your guided tour, you have the option of making a donation to the guides’ office. Once the amount required to hire a guide has been reached, we offer a guided tour to members of solidarity associations*.
For more information, please do not hesitate to contact the office staff.
Thank you, the BDG de la Grave
