BIRDS, SMALL CREATURES AND LANDSCAPES ! Discover the natural environment of the Meije region around La Grave, between Écrins and Oisans, with your family.
Facing the glaciers, we will enjoy an exceptional variety of ecosystems as we set out to meet the inhabitants of the hay meadows, mountain pastures and forests.
Thanks to simplified scientific protocols developed by the University of Grenoble, and equipped with magnifying glasses, binoculars and observation glasses, we will investigate the altitudinal limits of vegetation zones, assess the diversity of insect and small animal families, reference key species of flowers and trees, look for signs that the spotted nutcracker has been there and left us some Swiss stone pine seeds to nibble on, and maybe we’ll even see some falcons and vultures?
In any case, this wilderness hike will allow us to enjoy a parade of exceptional natural environments and combine the discovery of fauna, flora and the mineral world with observations and sampling by budding scientists.
